The Great Berkshire Bake Off, sponsored by Barrington Stage and The Berkshire Eagle, is in recognition of Barrington Stage’s production of The Cake.

It is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to prove that you are the Great Berkshire Baker. Like The Cake’s Della (played by Debra Jo Rupp) – do you have what it takes to be the Great Berkshire Baker?

Deadlines:

June 1: Deadline for applying
June 4: Finalists are notified
June 10: Finalist judging and tasting event

ENTERING PHASE:

How do I enter and get to be a finalist in one of the following categories?

Adult baker*
Kids under 16

Send in your recipe and upload a photo of your cake here.
Brief essay (max 300 words) on “why you qualify” to be The Great Berkshire Baker

FINALIST PHASE:

Pittsfield’s own Mary McGinnis from Mary’s Carrot Cake, along with BSC staff, will narrow down the entries to 5 finalists in each category.

If you are a finalist, you will be required to showcase your cake at the judging event, plus have tastings for 50 (tastings are really one bite size – tasting cups will be provided).

THE GREAT BERKSHIRE BAKER JUDGING EVENT AND CAKE PARTY!

Come and enjoy family and frosting as they collide in this interactive, fun, tasty event and determine The Great Berkshire Baker! Along with the esteemed panel of judges, including Debra Jo Rupp, Mary McGinnis and more, you will be part of determining the winner. Come enjoy cake and ice cream. Ice cream provided by SoCo Creamery.

Date: Sunday June 10 at 4pm at the Wolfson Center, 122 North Street in Pittsfield

Winner will be announced at 5:00pm.
