Professional Internship Program
Professional Internship Program (PIP) PIP is a summer intensive internship
offered to college age students interested in pursuing careers in theatre.
Participants are chosen through an application process to train and gain
professional experience in various facets of Professional Equity Theatre.
Concentrations include, but are not limited to: stage management, production,
scenic design, costume design, lighting and sound design, arts management,
development, and educational theatre. Participants are also encouraged
to explore the cultural attractions of the Berkshires. Housing and small
stipend provided.
From the theatre that premiered the Tony-award-winning The 25th Annual Putnam
County Spelling Bee comes a professional training program offering unmatched
experience and college credit (where applicable) in an intensive seven-show summer
season.
Interns will work with award winning theatre professionals while spending a summer in the thriving theatre culture of the Berkshires, two hours from Boston and New York . Beyond its standard of producing top-notch professional theatre, BSC is focused on presenting rarely performed plays as well as developing new works. We offer a variety of administration and production internships. Interns are required to complete an entire summer season’s residency with the Company.
BSC’s reputation for award-winning excellence is hard-earned; schedules are rigorous, providing the experience needed to become well-rounded theatre professionals. BSC hosts a mid-summer insider trip to the world of New York theatre. A small stipend and housing are provided. Applicants must show a strong interest in furthering their professional development and a commitment to working in a top notch theatre setting.
