Funny, charming and heartwarming,The Memory Show is a two-person comic tragedy about the complicated relationship between a woman who has just been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and her estranged daughter who moves back home to Brighton Beach to care for her. As the mother starts forgetting the present, her daughter begins remembering the past.

Wow. It’s my last week here!
So I’ve been letting you down. Big time. I know you’ve been checking every morning and every evening to see if I have updated the world on my exciting life yet. And I haven’t.
You see, my life has just been too exciting!
For a week there, we didn’t have KidsAct!, but we did plenty to make up for it. Most noticeably, we did a program for kids at a nearby community garden, with a program called Green Streaks. I went with three other interns and Cynthia, our Education Director. Needless to say, it was a blast.
We also hosted the local YMCA summer camp. On Tuesday, we visited them at camp, read fairy tales to them, and talked to them about Into The Woods. On Thursday, they got to attend a special performance just for them. As they say, pictures are worth a thousand words, so…
Into the Woods was, all around, a smashing success. I’m sorry if you missed it. You really must catch both Absurd Person Singular AND The Memory Show. Let’s be honest, I’ll be packing at like 1 a.m. every morning this week just so I can see them both before I leave. Oh, and tip of the day: I’ve been listening to holiday music ever since Absurd Person Singular opened. You should, too.
